BUILT TO LAST, BUILT WITH PURPOSE

Throughout the years, the team at My Baby Fence has had the opportunity to test many different poles and put them through a rigorous inspection process. What we found was that most pool fence companies are using cheap, mass produced poles for your pool fence. These poles buckle under the slightest amount of force and are not as safe as they could be.

Specifically, standard, mass-produced fence poles are often built out of aluminum with a core that is made with an X or Y shape. Theoretically, this internal core should reinforce the pole, but in reality, they tend to bend or break when even a little pressure is applied. We decided to test these X-Y poles using a pulling scale and consistently found that they gave way at around 34 pounds. Coupled with the fact that the pole diameter of these poles often is not a perfect match to the ground hole, commercial poles end up being wobbly and unstable.

Such poles fall way below our standards.

With this knowledge in hand, we set out to design a better, safer, stronger, and more durable pole so you can rest assured that you have the safest pool fence possible. Through trial and error and a lot of hard work, our innovative team of pool fence experts came up with a custom pole design that improves its strength and durability.

My Baby Fence poles now use hollow, reinforced aluminum poles with an exact 1-inch diameter. For further reinforcement, we increase the thickness of the pole at its pressure, or fulcrum, point by adding an additional aluminum sleeve insides the bottom of each pole. This commitment to detail and integrity results in a final pole product that is more solid and much stronger, allowing us to install a more reliable and stable pool fence safety barrier.

Upon completing our final design, we used the same pull-scale test initially utilized to measure the strength of our competitors’ poles to measure the strength of our own design and determine its break or bend weight. After testing 100 poles, we found our double-reinforced poles withstood pressure and didn’t bend or break until over 60+ pounds was applied. This is nearly double the strength of our competitors’ mass-produced poles.

But creating a tougher pole was only the start of our mission to build and install the best and strongest pool safety fences. In the creation process of our fences, we also:

  • Sew every inch of our mesh border with a UV protective sun stop thread on with an industrial sewing machine
  • Powder coat all fence parts to protect them and ensure longevity and durability under intense Florida conditions
  • Use corrosion-resistant aluminum to mitigate the effects of Florida’s heat, humidity, sun, rain, and salt-water
  • Build all our gates with magnetic, self-closing, key-lockable latches called the Magna Latch
